DSECOP on APS News
Dear DSECOP Community,
We are excited to announce that the Data Science Education Community of Practice (DSECOP) project has been featured in an article published in APS News on April 13, 2023. The article highlights our efforts to incorporate data science into the undergraduate physics curriculum by developing small teaching modules that can be easily added to physics courses.
Data science skills are increasingly important for physics students, especially as they enter industries that rely on these skills to innovate quickly and streamline decision-making processes. The DSECOP project aims to provide physics faculty with the resources to teach these skills effectively.
To this end, DSECOP is organizing its second workshop to be hosted at the Edward St. John Center at the University of Maryland, June 28-30, 2023. You can register at this link until April 28.
We are thrilled to have the support of the APS and the physics community in this endeavor, and we look forward to continuing to develop and improve our modules. Thank you for your ongoing support and contributions to the DSECOP project.
